Local 911 to Take Strike Authorization Vote

After two full days of negotiations, talks ended between Local 911 members and the Kroger Company. The company refused to present any wage package for members to consider, and continues to demand major changes to the current insurance plan. There are no additional dates set for talks to resume.

The leadership of Local 911 has scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, May 23rd. The Local Union had hoped to have an agreement to recommend to the membership at this meeting. Unfortunately, the Kroger Company's has refused to put forth an offer, forcing Local 911 leadership to ask the membership for strike authorization.

The members of Local 911 hope that once the company hears their message, spoken loudly and clearly, the company will reconsider their stance and present a fair contract offer that will address the needs of both parties.
