Kroger Negotiations Continue in Toledo
Contract talks continued today between Toledo UFCW Local 911
members and Kroger. Both sides agred to extend the current contract
until midnight April 20th.
Health care continued to dominate the discussion during bargaining. While
many ideas were exchanged, the parties remain far apart on health care
issues. The company’s approach to addressing the health care problem
continues to center on having workers pick up the tab for increased cost.
Members’ position remains the same: workers need and deserve affordable,
accessible, quality health care.
The next negotiation sessions are scheduled for April 16th, 17th and 18th.
