Toledo Negotiations Continue Without Much Progress

Negotiations resumed with no real progress, although Kroger did withdraw their proposal to eliminate daily overtime for work over 8 hrs. But ,despite their 36% rise in profits and 5.6% increase in same store sales, the Company claims to need relief in the Toledo area--where they have the No. 1 market share.

UFCW Local 911 members, for their part,  remained united in their pursuit of a fair contract that will provide a living wage, affordable, quality healthcare and a secure retirement for ALL workers.

The recent negotiating session ended on March 15,  at 4pm. Negotiations are scheduled to resume on March 20.
