Puget Sound Members Continue to Fight for Fair Contract

Seattle members continued bargaining with employers on May 31, and found that although employers’ profits are rising, they don't want to share that success with workers.  Instead, they  iwant more take-aways to line their pockets.

At the last session, members of the union bargaining team told the employers in unmistakable terms: "We won’t accept lump sum bonuses. We won’t accept longer wage progressions. And we won’t accept other cutbacks. 30¢ raises are not enough — and 2¢ is a joke."

Puget Sound are UFCW members deserve a contract that shares the success — and their families and communities deserve it too. Members have more power than ever before, and are more unified than they've ever been.  They're ready to fight for a fair contract.

The bargaining committee will meet with employers again today to attempt once again to reach a fair agreement.
