UFCW Local 555 is set to begin negotiating the first set of contracts that will expire throughout Oregon and Southwestern Washington over the next 18 months.  On February 19, 2007 Allied Employers, Inc., on behalf of Safeway Inc., Albertson’s Inc. and Fred Meyer Stores, Inc., agreed with Local 555 to extend the Eugene, Oregon area Meat, Grocery and CCK collective bargaining agreements, between the employers and the Union beyond their normal expiration dates of February 17, 2007.
