  March 21, 2007 Houston UFCW Locals Make Progress in Negotiations UFCW members from Local 455 and 408 met Monday with the Kroger Company, in talks lasting until 6:30 P.M. Talks were very productive, touching on various non-economic issues. Next week health and welfare specialists from both the UFCW and Kroger will meet for preliminary talks on the needs of the insurance plan. The remaining non-economic issues willbe brought to the table when full economic negotiation begin. Dates for these future talks will be chosen in the near future.
