On April 10, UFCW Local 555 members and their employersin Eugene, Oregon met in sub-committee to discuss Health and Welfare.

Both sides attempted to identify possible areas of change that could improve benefits, streamline administrative costs and generate savings. Once they identified key areas, a joint letter was prepared to send to the consultant to cost, in order for the two sides to proceed in an informed manner.

Members of the Local 555 bargaining committee will next meet with their employers on April 17,  to continue discussions on non-economic topics.
