What: A&P is one of the leading supermarket operators along the East Coast. UFCW members are the backbone of this company –40,000 members working together through the ups and downs of the economy and the industry. The current economic situation makes our solidarity even more important.

Today’s, A&P’s store-level operating profits, produced from your hard work, are improving. But the company is saddled with debt from borrowing to purchase Pathmark in 2007.

UFCW members must stick together to make sure A&P lives up to its commitment to all workers!

When: UFCW contracts with some local unions have expired, some are in bargaining now and even more will come up for renewal later this year.

What's At Stake:
Members are fighting for a good contract that protects quality jobs and allow workers to provide for their families.

     Sticker Campaign

Grocery workers working at A&P-owned stores are showing their commitment to good jobs in the community by wearing stickers in their stores this week. The stickers show customers and management that workers understand that the economic situation is tough right now, but that good jobs in grocery stores will help--not hurt--working families in the community.
