Indiana Kroger Workers Stand Together


Who:  3800 Kroger clerks and 475 Kroger meatcutters and UFCW members of Local 700 in Indiana

What: Bargaining starts in April. The negotiating committee of 12 is already meeting to receive training and education on negotiations. In addition, they have a communications network made up of five members per store.

When: Contracts with Kroger expire May 24, 2008

What's At Stake:
 Members are fighting for a good contract that protects quality jobs and promotes healthy communities.

Vote scheduled at Local 700 
 
Indianapolis Meat and Clerks of Local 700 have reached a tentative agreement with Kroger. Details will be available after members vote on whether to ratify the contract. The new agreement covers 475 meat members and 3800 clerk members at 60 stores in the Indianapolis area, as well as Bloomington, Crawfordsville, Kokomo and other parts of the state.

Voting is currently schedules for Wednesday, June 18th.

Local 700 Members Reach Tentative Agreement with Kroger 
 
Local 700 members have a tentative agreement with Kroger. Details will be available after members vote on whether to ratify the contract.
 
The contract will cover more than 4,200 Kroger employees at 60 stores in the Indianapolis area, as well as Bloomington, Crawfordsville, Kokomo and other parts of the state.
