Kentucky Kroger Negotiations Moving Slowly

Members of the UFCW Local 227 bargaining committee in Louisville met again on Friday with Kroger to resume negotiations for a new contract. Agreements were reached on a number of non economic issues.

The Union presented the company with a complete economic package which included enhanced insurance benefits and sufficient pension funding. The company was not prepared to counter the union's offer on Friday. The parties are scheduled to meet again Monday through Thursday of this week.
