Never before in the 80+ years of our Union did members turn out in the numbers they did today. As a result of an unprecedented show of member power, a new 3 year agreement is now in place with our Employers. By allowing members to participate and vote at their workplace, a new system has been born. A model of member engagement and participation that will go down in the history of local 789 as the day our members stood tall and exercised their right to vote on their contract. Our 25 member Negotiation Committee was overwhelmed with the positive response from their fellow Union members. We want to thank the members that turned out for the vote at 39 locations throughout St. Paul and suburbs and supported our recommendation to accept the new agreement.
